We had the pleasure of producing a series of cocktail films for Diageo, featuring five different non-alcoholic spirits. The project consisted of five individual shorts, showcasing cocktails made with Tanqueray 0.0, Tanqueray Sevilla 0.0, Seedlip Garden, Seedlip Grove and Seedlip Spice.

We also created a longer edit combining all five cocktails into one film. Everything was shot in our motion control studio using our custom, Highspeed capable LED wall and BOLT Highspeed MOCO robot.

The combination gave us a lot of freedom to play with camera movement and high-speed photography, while keeping every shot precise and repeatable. For drinks, shooting against an LED wall is particularly useful. Liquids, glass and ice all reflect and refract the environment around them, which can make green screen compositing quite tricky.

With the LED wall, we could capture those natural reflections and refractions directly in the shot, giving the images a much more realistic feel. The whole production was handled in-house, from shooting and motion control through to editing and post-production.
